(client applied only to CBS)
I found Adam through the web. Immediately, I found the advice in his website very helpful. This encouraged me to contact him. I initially wanted to know what had been the weak points in my earlier applications that I had prepared without advice (I had been rejected by two top programs). We started by scheduling a Skype videoconference. Adam thoroughly analyzed my earlier applications and provided me with important tips. I found Adam’s advice key as:
1. Adam knows how admissions officers think. He taught me that it takes more than a great story to get in. Admission officers look for the right fit, demographics, how likely you are to get a job after the MBA, how well you will fit in an internship. He advised me to eliminate all the informal talk (that could be misinterpreted) that I had included in my earlier essays.
2. Adam thinks strategically. All his years in admissions consultancy combined with his Political Science background and interests allowed him to pinpoint my strengths and make the most out of them. As a result of his advice, my essays were more focused in answering the questions while better highlighting my strengths.
3. Adam’s advice is personal. You benefit from the 1 on 1 contact, unlike some admission consultant services that are too commercially oriented (with tons of consultants) and in which you don’t really know who is giving you advice.
4. Adam’s advice does not raise unethical dilemmas. Adam allowed me to better shape my essays using my real life experiences. I did not have to lie about my background to be accepted; but rather, I was more effective at communicating my experiences and goals.
I applied Adam’s advice and was able to get in to the only program I applied to: Columbia Business School Full Time MBA! If you are really committed to getting in a Top school, I recommend that you look for advice, and Adam can definitely give it to you!
