Interview-Only Preparation
I am a highly experienced admissions interview trainer. Many have said that my interviews were the most difficult they encountered including the real interviews! Telephone/Skype sessions: I encourage all my clients to use Skype as it is free, but if you want to talk with me on the phone, please call me. For Skype, I am video enabled.
Face-to-face sessions are conducted at the Royal Park Hotel in Nihonbashi, Chuo-Ku. I meet clients in Fontaine, the Royal Park's Lobby Lounge. Plans for face-to-face sessions are flexible and will be determined on an individual client basis. Please contact me for details. I usually meet clients at cafes or at their offices. I have a one hour minimum for all face-to-face sessions.
Reapplication, Waitlist, and Second Opinion Counseling Services
REAPPLICATIONThis service is designed for those who want to understand why they were rejected and want to learn from the experience. For my views on reapplication, please see my blog.
1. I will provide comprehensive written review of one application.
2. I will provide Skype/telephone feedback session of 1 hour. Face-to-face sessions are also possible, but contact me for details.
3. Cost 44,000 yen.
4. I will review additional applications at 16,000 yen, which includes written notes or an additional 15 minutes of feedback.
WAITLIST
This service is designed for those who want to understand why they were waitlisted and what they can do to improve their chances for admissions.
1. I will provide comprehensive review of the waitlisted application. I would like to review your full application, recommendations, and also conduct a short discussion with you on your admissions interview.
2. I will provide suggestions for what issues should be addressed in waitlist letters and other waitlist materials.
3. I will provide Skype/telephone feedback session of 1 hour. This time can be used all at once or used subsequently for review of waitlist essays and/or other waitlist materials.
4. Cost 44,000 yen.
SECOND OPINION
This service is designed for those looking for a second opinion on a finished application. It is not a substitute for my comprehensive service and depending on my overall schedule, I cannot always offer this service. NOTE: Use of this service does not guarantee my availability for future counseling. For those interested in using this service, I will not provide a free initial consultation, but I am happy to answer any basic questions about the service I will provide.
1. I will provide comprehensive review of one entire application. I would like to review your full application and recommendations.
2. All essays, recommendations, and the resume should be submitted in MS Word Format as should substantive content from the application form so that I can easily provide specific feedback on the documents using the editing functions in MS Word. I will spend one hour reviewing and commenting on your application. I will provide both an overall analysis of each piece of the application as well as the application as a whole. I will then send you this written feedback. PLEASE NOTE: The focus of my analysis will be on the quality of the content and its impact on admissions, not on editing. Do not ask me to do editing because I will not provide that. My objective is to give you constructive feedback on what you have written, not to correct your content.
3. After that I will provide Skype/telephone feedback session of 1 hour in length. You are free to reduce the length of this feedback session, if you want me to provide additional written feedback. There is a one-hour minimum for written feedback.
4. Cost 44,000 yen.
5. Depending on my availability, additional hours may be purchased for 22,000 yen.
